One day, a friend got really, really sick. He did not know what he had and no house remedy nor calls to his doctors back home were helping him get better.

 

Neither he nor his partner spoke Spanish fluently. They struggled to find a doctor and a hospital with English speaking staff that would help them. They could not find the medicine they needed. Desperate, they reached out to the nomad community in Argentina to see if someone could help.

A nomad friend of theirs knew several people in the health care system in Argentina. Hoping to get answers, he decided to create a Whatsapp group to consolidate all the knowledge. Perhaps this way he could help his sick friend and others who might need help.

Several dozens of people quickly joined the group. Their combined efforts helped find the right hospital, an English speaking doctor, and helped get the prescription for the meds needed to cure their sick friend.

Two years later, the group continues to grow. Many people have found their doctors, medical specialists, insurance providers, but also vets, personal trainers, and information on how to get the meds and care they need.

 

All of this information resides in Whatsapp, but the issue with Whatsapp is that this information is only available to people who joined when the information was shared. There is no group chat history prior to you joining the group. To make this information accessbile, we created this website.
